[Synopsis] On a summer day in the near future. A medical facility on a plateau where chronically ill patients undergo long-term care. Today, visitors arrive one after another, bringing a rare sense of liveliness to this normally quiet place. Murai, who was admitted six months ago, is thrilled yet quite nervous as his girlfriend comes to visit for the first time. Friends of Fukushima, a patient admitted for over four years, have been staying here for several days, enjoying a leisurely time. In addition, there is Nishioka, once a promising painter; Maejima, who often poses as his model; Kimiko and her older brother, who have lived here since their teens; and Honma, who was admitted just recently... As various patients, their acquaintances, and medical staff stay or pass through this space, an ordinary yet special afternoon quietly rolls by.
