Content Policy

Reviews are written without an account or a password. That makes them easy to leave, but there is no way to verify that you are the author, so you cannot edit or delete your own post. Deletion is handled by the operator under the standards below.

Because a post is hard to take back, please do not include real names, contact details, or anything that identifies another person.

A post written once an event has started or finished is a visit review. A post written before an event opens is an anticipation note.

Anticipation notes are not based on an actual visit, so they are not counted towards the average rating. If scores from people who have not been mixed in, the rating would stop meaning anything.

The following may be deleted or hidden whether or not anyone reports it.

• Abuse, slurs or discriminatory language, and attacks on a person or group
• Advertising, promotion, driving traffic to other sites, and repeated posting
• Content unrelated to the event
• Other people's personal information (real names, contact details, faces and the like)
• Defamation, false statements of fact, and copyright infringement
• Obscene material, or material harmful to minors

A review is not removed simply for being negative. An honest account of an event that fell short is the most useful thing the next visitor can read, and ratings on a site that deletes such posts are worth nothing.

Unless a post falls under the standards above, it will not be deleted for being unfavourable — including at the request of an organiser.

• You can flag a post using the report button on each review.
• When a report comes in, the operator reviews the content and hides or deletes it if it falls under the standards above.
• If it does not, the post stays. Nothing is removed merely for attracting many reports.
• If flooding or abuse is repeated, the route used to post may be blocked.

Blocking is based on a value processed so that it cannot be reversed, not on the raw IP address.
