Autumn Night Concert
Seocho-gu·Seoul Arts Center

Paid · Ages 7 and up · Seocho-gu Seoul Arts Center [Seoul]
[Performance Introduction] Since its founding, Ensemble Éclat has consistently explored contemporary music and major 20th-century repertoire while presenting original projects. In this regular concert, under the theme "Fragments of Melody: Autumn Mosaic," we intend to unfold works with different historical backgrounds and musical personalities on a single stage. 20th-century music was a period of creating various musical languages by breaking away from traditional tonality and form and exploring new sounds, rhythms, harmonies, and relationships between instruments. This performance highlights this trend of change through the works of Igor Stravinsky, Erwin Schulhoff, Rebecca Clarke, and Anton Webern. Through this performance, Ensemble Éclat aims to allow the audience to experience the experimentation and artistry of 20th-century music more familiarly, and to share the new charm and possibilities of modern chamber music through the diverse resonances created when different musical languages meet.
