About this event

[Performance Introduction] Founded in 2020, Ad Musica means 'Back to Music'. Centered around violinist Professor Kim Hyun-mi (Korea National University of Arts), it is a professional performing group composed of young musicians who are drawing attention in Korea and abroad, with a wide repertoire encompassing both artistry and popularity. Continuing to meet the audience with diverse themes and in-depth music along with its founding performance in 2020, Ad Musica held the chamber music festival <Remembering Mozart> spanning online and offline, being selected for the 'Art Change-up' by the Arts Council Korea, as well as a project to record the complete violin sonatas commemorating the 230th anniversary of Mozart's death in 2021. In 2022, they held three concerts including at the Seoul Arts Center, centered on the music of composers Brahms and Schubert, and among them, <The Concert in B> was aired through EBS's performance review program <Intellect and Emotion>. Following "Memories of a Great Artist I & II" in 2023, the three-series performance planned as the 2024 project "Metamorphosen" was consecutively selected for the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's artistic creation activity support project. Through more than two regular and planned performances every year, they are continuing their own journey toward the 'essence of music' with original attempts and creative transformations unique to Ad Musica manifested in chamber music, and deep melodies based on tradition.
