About this event

달성 대구현대미술제는 1970년대 젊은 작가들이 기성 미술계의 경직성에 도전하며 다양한 미술 실험을 펼쳤던 '대구 현대 미술제'의 정신을 계승하여 강정보 일원에서 열리는 현대미술축제이다. 달성 대구 현대 미술제가 개최되는 장소인 강정은 1977년 '제3회 대구 현대 미술제' 당시, 역대 최대 규모인 200여 명의 작가가 참여한 한국 최초의 집단적 이벤트가 펼쳐진 장소로 그 의의를 가진다.
