[Performance Introduction] Remember Jazz Series. Remembering the precious moments with jazz. Performance planning company Jazz Bridge Company's <Remember Jazz Series> presents the optimal jazz that allows you to remember your memories more beautifully and preciously. In autumn, which is often called the season of reading and jazz, we aim to provide an opportunity to spend deeply personal time of contemplation and meditation 'together with jazz'. In September, which opens the door to autumn, we introduce a young composer and pianist who fits well with the theme of 'memory', which the Remember Jazz Series holds as a keyword. Pianist Na Do-yun, born in 2001 and 25 years old this year, is known to jazz fans as a member of Forestet, and released her first full-length album <Life & Shadow>, which she produced herself last year. Although it is a debut work released at the age of 24, her capacity as a composer, the flow of unraveling her own story as a pianist, and her mature appearance in utilizing the space between performers were impressive. Sometimes a lyricism like an ECM record is felt, and sometimes she plays with a modern and contemporary touch like Brad Mehldau. Her solo performances heard throughout the album—whether it is the introductory melody or the middle solo—penetrate through all other sounds and capture the heart. The Remember Jazz Series aims to provide an opportunity for a young performer, who has not had many opportunities to encounter performances up close, to tell her more honest and simple story. This special time to meet her, who has been felt to have truly special potential among many young pianists, presents a more special 'jazz time' that can only be given by the charm of a small salon concert, which is hard to feel anywhere else. We hope that listening to her music will be an opportunity for all of us to look back at ourselves with a warmer gaze, breathe more slowly, and ultimately be a time of self-consolation.
