[Performance Introduction] Cool, exploding free jazz drumming. A passionate performance that provides overwhelming immersion. Free improvisation that cannot be predicted for even a moment. The Phil Yoon Group, who have long guarded the Korean jazz scene, will join the final stage of the YELLOW TAXI SUMMER FESTIVAL. The Phil Yoon Group is a team that creates original and dramatic music, freely crossing between traditional jazz and complex mixed meters, odd meters, Latin rhythms, and even Korean melodies. Drummer Phil Yoon Graduated from Berklee College of Music and received his Master's in Modern American Music with highest honors from the Longy School of Music. He has been active on domestic and international stages such as the Ikebukuro Jazz Festival, North Sumatra Jazz Festival, and Jarasum Jazz Festival. He is also a musician who has met the public through EBS <Gonggam> and Arte TV <Phil Yoon's Jazz Story>. His music has been selected multiple times as an MM Jazz Korean Best Jazz Album, and the album 'Straight Ahead', in which Phil Yoon participated as a leader, was listed as one of the '8 Hard Bop Albums in Korean Jazz History' selected by jazz critic Hwang Deok-ho. On this YELLOW TAXI stage, the trio of Phil Yoon (drums), Lim Seul-gi (piano), and Lee Byeong-heon (bass) will perform together. The music created by these three different individuals leads sometimes to quiet empty spaces and sometimes to explosive energy. A time to fall into overwhelming immersion rather than flashiness. At YELLOW TAXI, where the distance between performers and the audience is closest, feel the deep breath and intense groove of the three more closely and vividly. YELLOW TAXI SUMMER FESTIVAL started on July 25th. After a summer that was hot with different music for six weeks, it is now the last night. Join the Phil Yoon Group for the final stage of the SUMMER FESTIVAL. Good music remains in the heart for a long time even after the performance ends.
