[About the Performance] Rather than making music purely for music's sake, GongMyoung feels the need for a musical and artistic approach to the environmental issues we face, and has consistently created works reflecting thoughts on nature. "Guilty Pleasure" and "The River and People" were content created through an online media project during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2026, these two works are presented as the GongMyoung concert "Road, Tea, Pleasure" (guilty pleasure), re-filmed, re-arranged, and enhanced with immersive technology. The performance title "Road, Tea, Pleasure" literally means a traveling road, tea, and joy. In another sense, the wordplay "guilty pleasure" is a portmanteau of 'guilty' and 'pleasure', referring to the psychology of liking and enjoying something despite feeling guilty about it. We reflect on how we treat the environment and nature we live in. We may be indifferent while knowing full well how the simple joy of having a cup of tea on the road affects the natural environment. Carelessly discarded plastic waste impacts our mountains, rivers, seas, and people. The GongMyoung Concert "Road, Tea, Pleasure" / Guilty Pleasure is a performance that illustrates the relationship between nature and humans through music and video.
