Topo House Gallery 1: August 5, 2026 - August 30, 2026 [Artist's Note] “Waiting for you. This work stems from 'returning home on an ox' (giugwiga). The ox offering its back implies permission, respect, and being tamed. This work expresses nature's devotion in waiting for a true sage in this era.” [Artist Introduction] Animals always appear in artist Kim Jae-kyu's work. The artist compares animals to humans or views human society through animals. He invites these companions of the world, who have silently watched human history and always been by our side, to the center of the stage, hosting a feast for the thankful friends who have healed our hearts. The artist's work has various meanings as a perceptual phenomenon of experience. Looking at the forms, we can find rationality and logos that transcend the meaning given to individuals.
