About this event

무안황토갯벌축제는 '갯벌이 살아있다'를 주제로 유네스코 세계유산인 무안갯벌에서 개최되는 생태체험 축제이다. 대한민국 최초 습지보호지역 제1호인 무안갯벌의 생태적 가치와 황토갯벌의 우수성을 널리 알리고, 자연과 사람이 공존하는 갯벌의 의미를 체험과 문화행사를 통해 전달하는 축제이다. 축제장인 무안황토갯벌랜드는 국내 최장 1.5km 해상보행목교인 무안갯벌탐방다리와 생태체험시설을 갖추고 있으며, 갯벌과 바다를 가까이에서 경험할 수 있는 생태관광지이다. 축제 기간에는 갯벌 생태를 주제로 한 체험과 문화행사, 전시, 공연 등이 운영되며, 가족 단위 방문객이 함께 참여할 수 있는 다양한 콘텐츠가 구성된다. 무안황토갯벌축제는 세계유산 무안갯벌의 보전 가치와 지역의 생태·문화자원을 연계하여 지속가능한 생태관광과 지역문화 활성화를 도모하는 축제이다.
