About this event

[Performance Introduction] 〈Records of the Moment, Memories of Sound〉 is a participatory performance project that reinterprets audience stories into art through classical music. Works suitable for the purpose of the performance were selected among photos and stories pre-collected for the performance, and classical works matching the atmosphere and emotions of each story were matched. By introducing photos and stories along with performances, the music is configured as a language that connects the emotions of the story rather than a simple background. The program contains various emotions that anyone can sympathize with, such as love, hope, excitement, longing, and gratitude, and was designed to allow the audience to naturally look back on their lives through the delicate expressiveness of classical music. SoNA Classic hopes that classical music becomes a culture that can be with us in the closest places to our daily lives, not just an art for specific people. This performance also aims to convey that music can be the most beautiful record connecting person to person through a time when the performance on stage and the memories in the audience are connected as one. 'If photos leave memories, music makes those memories breathe for a long time.' [Synopsis] 〈Records of the Moment, Memories of Sound〉 Photos hold onto time, and music adds breath to that time. We live and leave many moments as photos. A warm day with family, a meeting with a loved one, an unforgettable trip, and even memories of missing someone. Photos keep the appearance of that moment, but the emotions and warmth contained within them also slightly fade as time flows. 〈Records of the Moment, Memories of Sound〉 is a participatory concert that completes a performance by weaving photos and stories sent directly by the audience together with classical music. Each ordinary but special story meets a performance and leads to new emotions, and on the stage, music expands one person's memories into everyone's empathy. In Part 1, selected photos under the theme of 'love' are introduced with music, depicting various forms of love. Different emotions from lovers, family, friends, pets, and love for life lead into a single story on classical melodies. In Part 2, music is added centered on stories composed of several photos and narratives. Records of life containing joy and excitement, growth and farewell, gratitude and hope are reborn as stories that all audience members can sympathize with beyond simple memories. This performance provides a special experience where the audience's life becomes part of the performance, rather than ending with the performer just playing music. Music will comfort someone's memory and become a new memory for someone else, remaining in the heart for a long time.
