[About the Performance] "Beethoven, a Journey to Sublimity... Transcendence" Pianist Lee Jeong-eun holds her sixth solo recital for <Beethoven Piano Sonata Complete Series> "In small pieces and in massive masterpieces alike, Beethoven always poured his full heart. In particular, I consider the 'Hammerklavier' a record of transcendence that goes beyond human limits. On this stage, I want to show Beethoven's transcendent energy just as it is." Pianist Lee Jeong-eun expressed these feelings ahead of her sixth solo recital in the <Beethoven Piano Sonata Series> held on Sunday, September 12 at 8:00 PM at the Seoul Arts Center Recital Hall. Moving toward completing all Beethoven piano sonatas starting from her first series at the Seoul Arts Center Recital Hall in 2023, pianist Lee Jeong-eun gave this sixth series the subtitle 'Transcendence'. Featuring three works representing humble wit alongside the late masterpiece 'Hammerklavier', considered the pinnacle of Beethoven's piano sonatas, she aims to convey the true value of Beethoven's music completed beyond human limits even in extreme circumstances. Pianist Lee Jeong-eun also poured her determination to paint moments of transcendence through performance into this stage. Ahead of her eighth and final series, pianist Lee Jeong-eun shared that she feels the stages built up over time are gradually coming together into a single story, promising to do her best in the remaining series to convey the messages Beethoven pondered throughout his life. Let's focus on this sixth series, which heightens expectations for the completion of pianist Lee Jeong-eun's <Beethoven Piano Sonata Complete Series> where purity and grandeur coexist.
