[About the Show] Melodies drawn with breath, resonance completed at fingertips 8th Son Jeong-min Piri Recital The series is a project that aims to expand the repertoire of piri-family instruments by creating and enjoying solo pieces for traditional piri and improved instruments like daepiri and jeopiri, while exploring accompaniment instruments that match the tone color and range of each instrument. While the first performance in 2024 sought a combination of piri-family instruments and percussion instruments, the second performance aims to meet various string instruments such as gayageum, violin, viola, and cello, communicating through sound and expanding into a single resonance. We invite you to a world of new resonance where breath and vibration, tradition and modernity, East and West meet through works created through collaboration with leading domestic and international composers like Lee Ye-jin, Lee Yong-seok, Dana Kaufman, and Jon Lin Chua, including piri player Son Jeong-min's own compositions.
