[Performance Introduction] The 30th Anniversary Concert of the Korean Art Song Society ~ Singing 30 Years of Poetry, Melody, and Lyricism ~ Since its founding in 1997, the Korean Art Song Society (Hanguk Gagog Hak-hoe) has created 33 albums and over 1,100 original art songs reflecting our unique beautiful lyricism and emotions, and is now holding a meaningful 30th anniversary commemorative concert. This concert is a place to showcase new works and representative art songs that set delicate melodies by leading domestic composers to deep poems by representative Korean poets. The soul-stirring poetic words and three-dimensional rhythms will come together to present the essence of Korean art songs. Top-tier vocalists active on domestic and international stages, including Soprano Kim Ji-hyeon and Lee Yun-ji, Tenor Hwang Hyeon-han, Countertenor Lee Hee-sang, and Baritones Yang Jin-won and Park Geon-woo, will perform in close collaboration with Pianist Kim Min-gyeong to provide even deeper emotion. In the midst of exhausting daily life, this 30th anniversary commemorative concert of the Korean Art Song Society, which will deliver a deep resonance and warm comfort, will be an unforgettable late summer night spent in a lyrical forest created by beautiful poems and songs.
