キダリギャラリーはヤン・ジョンヨン、ノ・ヘヨン作家の2人展「MOSS and FOREST」を8月11日から8月29日まで開催する。今回の展示は、コケの作業で自然な生活の姿を盛り込むヤン・ジョンヨン作家と、温かい治癒の空間である森を通じて多彩な自然の空間を描くノ・ヘヨン作家の出会いにスポットを当てる。両作家の作品が展示場内で調和して溶け込み、観覧客が慌ただしい日常を離れて自然が伝える自然で快適な治癒のエネルギーを受け取ることができるように企画された展示である。今回の展示タイトルである「MOSS and FOREST」は、小さなコケが広く広がっていき巨大な森を成すようにすべての物事は小さなことから始まっていくという意味を盛り込んでおり、互いに似ている両作家の絵画的世界観の共通点から出発する。両作家はともに自然を主題に小さな点と線を画面の上に密度感よく重ね合わせ、私たちを取り巻く多様な関係の調和と快適で自然な生活の姿を視覚化する。両作家は新進作家の頃から縁を結んできたキダリギャラリーを通じてKiaf、アート釜山、DIAF、画廊美術祭など国内主要アートフェアで長きにわたり美術愛好家たちにコンスタントに紹介されており、今回の展示を通じては自然の一部が集まって成された巨大な治癒のメッセージと人生に関する物語を見せる。ヤン・ジョンヨン作家は日常生活で使用される人工物と自然物であるコケの結合を通じて、私たちの生活を成す数多くの関係の中で自然に人生を生きていきたいという願いを込めている。作家は生きているということは多様な関係の中に属していることを意味すると語る。作品の核心素材の一つであるコケは高く成長せず広く広がるが、この姿が空間に存在するすべてのものたちを包み込むように覆い、関係を繋いでいくような姿を見せる。作家はコケのこの特性から、調和的で自然に生きていく生活の方式を発見した。作家の写実的なタッチと超現実的な構成を通じて人間愛と治癒のメッセージを伝え、人生のすべての関係の中で調和と自然さを見出そうとする自己省察の意味を示す。ノ・ヘヨン作家は「森」という空間を油絵の小さな点を積み重ねて表現することに集中し、思い出や経験に対するインスピレーションを再解釈してキャンバスに収める。作家にとって「FOREST（森）」は単なる自然風景を越え、現代人の内面に位置する平穏な理想郷を象徴する。画面を満たした小さな点は森を成す一つの記憶であり、ささやかな日常が残した痕跡である。点が調和して集まりまるで形を成したようなイメージは、私たちが無心に通り過ぎる繰り返される日常の中でも眩しく価値ある瞬間が存在することを示している。森は最も温かい慰めであり治癒の空間として表現され、作家の幼少期のつらく疲れた時に森で心を癒やして楽しく快適な心を取り戻すことができた記憶をキャンバスに描き出す。こうした作品は、森を単なる風景ではなくポジティブな思い出が積み重なった複合的な場所として位置づける。忙しい現代人は都市文明の慣れ親しさに酔いしれ、自然を見回す時間が多くない。作家の作品に登場するピンク、緑、オレンジ、青の色で表現された森は、それぞれ春、夏、秋、冬の四季を意味している。ノ・ヘヨン作家は時間の流れと生命力を盛り込んだ作品を楽しみ、疲れた現代人に慰めと癒やしを差し伸べる。 KIDARI GALLERY will host the two artist exhibition “MOSS and FOREST” by Yang Jong-yong and Noh Hye-young from August 11 to August 29. This exhibition highlights the collaboration between artist Yang Jong-yong, who captures the natural essence of life through his moss based works, and artist Noh Hye-young, who depicts the diverse spaces of nature through the forest a warm, healing environment. The exhibition is designed so that the two artists’ works harmoniously blend within the gallery space, allowing visitors to escape their hectic daily lives and receive the natural, soothing, and healing energy that nature offers. The exhibition title, “MOSS and FOREST,” conveys the meaning that all things begin with something small and grow outward, just as tiny moss spreads to form a vast forest, and stems from the commonalities in the two artists’ similar painterly worldviews. Both artists use nature as their theme, densely layering small dots and lines on the canvas to visualize the harmony of the various relationships that surround us and a comfortable, natural way of life. Through KIDARI GALLERY with which both artists have maintained a long-standing relationship since their early careers they have been consistently introduced to art enthusiasts at major domestic art fairs such as Kiaf Seoul, Art Busan, DIAF, and the Galleries Art Fair. Through this exhibition, they present a powerful message of healing and a narrative about life, born from the coming together of elements of nature. Artist Yang Jong-yong expresses the desire to live naturally within the countless relationships that make up our lives by combining man made objects used in daily life with moss, a natural element. The artist states that being alive means being part of various relationships. Moss, one of the core materials in his work, does not grow tall but spreads out widely; this form appears to cover everything in the space as if embracing it, creating a sense of connection between relationships. The artist discovered a way of life that is harmonious and natural in the characteristics of this moss. Through his realistic brushstrokes and surreal compositions, he conveys a message of humanity and healing, revealing the significance of self-reflection in the quest to find harmony and naturalness in all of life’s relationships. Artist Noh Hye-young focuses on depicting the space of the “forest” by layering small dots of oil paint, reinterpreting inspiration drawn from memories and experiences and capturing them on canvas. For the artist, “FOREST” transcends a mere natural landscape to symbolize a peaceful utopia nestled within the inner world of modern people. The tiny dots filling the canvas are both a collective memory of the forest and traces left by the small moments of daily life. The images formed by these harmoniously gathered dots reveal that dazzling and precious moments exist even within the repetitive routines we often overlook. The forest is portrayed as the warmest source of comfort and a space of healing; the artist captures on canvas her childhood memories of finding joy and peace in the forest whenever she felt overwhelmed or exhausted. These works position the forest not merely as a landscape, but as a multifaceted place imbued with positive memories. Busy modern people, intoxicated by the familiarity of urban civilization, rarely have time to appreciate nature. The forests depicted in the artist’s works rendered in shades of pink, green, orange, and blue represent the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Through her works, which embody the passage of time and the vitality of life, artist Noh Hye-young offers comfort and healing to weary modern people.
