The 2026 Yangju National Heritage Night Walk is a night-time heritage festival held around the Yangju Government Office Site under the theme 'Together Again: Officials and Citizens Rejoice'. Set against the backdrop of Yangju-mok in the Joseon Dynasty, it revives the spirit of 'Gwanmin-dongrak'—where government officials and common people enjoyed together—as a modern festival. It connects Yangju's history and national heritage through performances, hands-on activities, exhibitions, and night lighting. The event includes performances and experiences bringing together Yangju's representative intangible heritage, such as Yangju Byeolsandae Mask Dance, Yangju Sonori Gut (Cattle Shamanic Ritual), Yangju Deulnorae (Field Work Songs), and Yangju Sangyeo and Hoedaji Sori (Funeral Songs). Visitors can also enjoy historical programs based on King Jeongjo and Yangju-mok, civil service exam experiences, traditional culture workshops, night tours, media exhibitions, traditional teahouses, and marketplace stalls. Rather than simply viewing Yangju's national heritage, visitors become characters in the stories, completing the meaning of 'Gwanmin-dongrak'. Walking through Yangju-mok's night along the '8 Nights' programs (Night Sights, Night Walks, Night Stories, Night History, Night Art, Night Food, Night Stays, Night Markets), history, people, and traditional culture merge into one narrative amidst beautiful evening scenery. 1.
