The 2026 Yeongdeok National Heritage Night Hike, subtitled "Yeonghae 1926, Walking Through That Night," is a nighttime historical and cultural festival held for three days from August 21 to 23, 2026, in the Modern Historical and Cultural Space around Yeonghae Market Street in Yeonghae-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Yeonghae Market Street is a state-registered cultural heritage at the township level, found in only six regions nationwide. The night hike held here is an immersive cultural event where the scenery of Yeonghae from 100 years ago is revived in every alley, allowing visitors to experience history firsthand. Set against the backdrop of 1926, the night streets are filled with diverse content such as open-air musicals, modern costume parades, rickshaws, silent films, and traditional intangible heritage performances. A total of 40 programs under eight themes—Night View, Night Road, Night History, Night Art, Night Performance, Night Food, Night Lodging, and Night Market—are operated daily from 7 PM to 11 PM, and all events are free to participate in. 1. Main Performances: 'Yeonghae 1926' themed open-air musical, circus performances, cabaret shows, modern costume parade, National Heritage media facade, Yeongdeok Wolwori Cheongcheong, Onggi (pottery) master, and other intangible heritage performances. 2. Experiences & Tours: Night hike sticker map tour, rickshaw experience, modern costume experience, silent film theater, making lanterns, Taegeukgi keyrings, rubbings, and many other hands-on programs. 3. Food & Market: Yeonghae Club (utilizing Yeongdeok specialties) recreating a tavern from 100 years ago, food trucks, Yeonghae Manse Market linked events, sale of Yeongdeok peach specialties. 4. Lodging Links: Hanok stay links at Goesi Folk Village, Won-gu Traditional Village, and Innyang Traditional Theme Village (A Night at a National Heritage).
