The 2026 Seoul Intangible Culture Festival is a traditional culture festival in the heart of the city to enjoy intangible heritage with citizens, held at Namsangol Hanok Village. Throughout the Hanok Village, you can reflect on the value and beauty of Seoul's intangible heritage through performance, exhibition, experience, demonstration, and tasting programs. It consists of five yards: 〈Sinmyeong Madang〉 for lively performances of Seoul's intangible heritage, 〈Somssi Madang〉 to meet the tips of masters' fingers and their spirit up close, 〈Migam Madang〉 to experience traditional tastes, 〈Cham-yeo Madang〉 where any citizen can participate, and 〈Tambang Madang〉 to collect Seoul's intangible heritage. Through these diverse programs, visitors can walk, listen, and touch, experiencing the value and charm of tradition up close. 1. Sinmyeong Madang (Arts Performances) - Performances by holders of Seoul Intangible Heritage such as Hallyangmu (prodigal's dance), Gyeollyeon Taekkyeon, Madeul Nongyo (farmers' song), Ajaeng Sanjo, Salpurichum (spiritual purification dance), Jaedamsori (witty stories), Seoul Blind Scripture Recitation, Sijo (Gyeongje), Pansori Gobeop (drumming), Songpa Daribalkgi (bridge walking), etc. - Performances by apprentices (Isuja). 2. Somssi Madang (Exhibition, Experience, Demonstration) - Exhibition of works by holders of functional items such as embroidery (Jasu-jang), tailoring (Chimseon-jang), metal inlay (Ipsa-jang), and jade carving (Ok-jang). - Traditional technique demonstrations and experience programs (Some programs require advance reservation and a fee). 3. Migam Madang (Tasting) - Tasting of Hyang-onju, Seoul Songjeolju, and Samhaeju, which are Intangible Cultural Heritages of Seoul Metropolitan Government. 4. Cham-yeo Madang (Citizen Participation Program) - Traditional craft making and traditional play experience zones. 5. Tambang Madang (Stamp Tour) - A mission-style stamp tour to collect Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage while exploring various parts of Namsangol Hanok Village.
