The 2026 Incheon Reading Festival is Incheon's representative book culture festival that warmly connects people's hearts through books. Under the slogan 'Read Incheon, Connect Hearts', this event will be held for two days from Saturday, September 19, 2026, to Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Incheon Art Platform. On the main stage in the outdoor plaza of Incheon Art Platform, the festival's vitality is enhanced with an exciting opening ceremony followed by picture book performances that stimulate the five senses and emotional busking. Throughout the outdoor plaza, book markets where local bookstores and publishers participate to introduce hidden treasure-like books, emotional photo zones, and the 'BOOK Escape' providing pleasant immersion have been prepared. Indoors, a rich field of discourse is provided through meetings with authors, book chats, and lectures by local writers, as well as in-depth reading discussions and forums. Finally, in the exhibition hall, special exhibitions along with experience programs prepared by libraries and related organizations will be held to provide citizens with deep cultural resonance and memories. 1. Opening Ceremony: Welcome speech, opening declaration, celebratory performances, awards for merit, contest awards, etc. (*Opening Ceremony: Sept. 19, 2026 (Sat) 14:00 / Incheon Art Platform) 2. Forums/Workshops: Local publishing revitalization forum, reading discussion 3. Lectures: Meetings with authors, book chats, lectures by local writers 4. Permanent Programs: Experience booths, book market, exhibitions, 'Booknic' (free reading space), photo zones, four-cut reading photos, BOOK Escape operation, etc.
