The 2026 Pohang Sunrise Noodle Festival is a gourmet festival held at Ara Plaza in Guryongpo, the Homi Peninsula, where the sun rises first in South Korea. The festival name "Haetteumyeon" (Sunrise Noodle) intuitively captures everything from the symbolic significance of the Homi Peninsula where the sun rises over the horizon, to the joy of lifting chewy noodles and sipping deep broth. You can taste everything from local Pohang noodle specialties to representative noodles from across the eight provinces, global noodles, and recipes from star chefs. The event is also packed with entertainment for all generations, including a music festa, cooking competitions, and retro experiences. Equipped with a green system utilizing smart QR ordering and reusable containers, it offers Pohang's unique gourmet journey that awakens taste and excitement first amidst the blue energy of the East Sea. 1.
