The sea route Queen Heo took from the Indian kingdom of Ayodhya to Gaya 2,000 years ago is brought back to life with brilliant light. The 3rd Gimhae Light Festival 'Voyage Towards the Light,' held at Gimhae Gaya Theme Park from August 14 to 23, 2026, presents a story connecting departure, voyage, and the meeting with Gaya through light sculptures, illuminations, media art, and photo zones. Walk along the path of light resembling the blue sea and night sky to discover the special bond between Gaya and India. On weekends and holidays, enjoy the Local Food Zone, Local Creator Art Market, and outdoor performances of jazz, fusion traditional music, and acoustic sets. The opening ceremony on August 15 will feature Ogomu (five-drum dance), K-POP TRON performances, and a multimedia firework show with over 3,000 rounds lighting up the sky. The festival operates daily without holidays from 5:20 PM to 10:00 PM, with admission closing at 9:00 PM. The entrance fee is 2,000 KRW per person.
