The 25th Gyeongsan Gatbawi Wish Fulfillment Festival is a festival that embodies the long tradition of prayer and wish fulfillment of the treasure 'Gyeongsan Palgongsan Gwanbong Seokjo Yeorae Jwasang (Gatbawi Buddha)'. Held under the slogan 'Millennial Wish Holy Land, Gyeongsan Gatbawi Renaissance', it is a participatory cultural festival where traditional culture and modern performances harmonize, taking place for two days from September 19th to 20th in the area of Gatbawi 3rd Public Parking Lot. On September 19th, it starts with a 'Yadan-beopseok' Buddhist ceremony featuring rock band and Gakseori performances, dharma talks, sound meditation, and vocal offerings. The opening ceremony will feature a 'Wish Bibimbap' offering performance for harmony, followed by a Healing Concert where Gugak artist Nam Sang-il and singers Ra.D and Jung-in deliver various resonances. On September 20th, the Gyeongsan Municipal Symphony Orchestra, baritone Kim Dong-gyu, soprano Kang Hye-jung, and the Gyeongsan Municipal Choir will collaborate to present a high-quality Mountain Temple Concert. At the event site, experience programs such as the Temple Run, Buddhist food demonstration by Monk Hong-seung, and making your own wish lantern will be held for citizens and tourists to participate and heal. With sales booths for local specialties including 'Wachon Plums' and other Gyeongsan agricultural products and a food market, it is a representative festival of Gyeongsan City to pray for everyone's wish fulfillment amidst abundant food and entertainment. 1.
