About this event

Dream, love, hope. Today, these words are considered too old and naive, making them difficult to utter easily out loud. In a world where imagining is called foolish, kindness is exploited, and sincerity is subjugated, we hesitate to speak of love, give up on dreams, and fail to believe in hope. However, the artist believes that these old and seemingly childish words are precisely the most powerful force to fight against absurd reality. This exhibition depicts the time after the fall. Having explored human desires and relentless attempts through the shape of bees in previous works, the artist shifts her gaze to the landscape after bees flying toward the sky fall down burned to ashes. The final moment of the fall faced a world shining in gold. From dew-covered grass and waves to bird feathers and nameless life, all beings illuminate each other to form a majestic landscape, showing the beauty and potential of relationships revealed only at the end of failure. However, the beings turned to ash sink back beneath the water. In a time losing direction and will, the world turns black and white, and the order supporting itself disassembles. The artist speaks of a new start at this moment of collapse. It is not a complete resurrection, but a process of regeneration continuing life by holding onto oneself that has scattered. The act of creating one's center amidst endlessly collapsing consciousness is the beginning of a second life. What supports that center are love, dreams, and hope. Dreams are the power to imagine, hope is kindness toward others, and love is the attitude of living sincerely to the end. The paintings and clay works presented in this exhibition, along with postcards delivered to the audience, serve as mediums to share these values together. Ultimately, this exhibition proposes holding onto love, dreams, and hope—the oldest forces that no fall can ultimately destroy—rather than grand beliefs that change the world.
