도심속 바다에서 경험하는 다양한 포구체험을 즐길 수 있는 바다축제인 [시흥월곶포구축제]는 도시와 바다가 어우러진 생생한 포구체험과 어민이 직접 잡은 신선한 제철 수산물을 활용한 먹거리 등 풍성한 프로그램을 통해 방문객들에게 잊지 못할 추억을 선사하는 행사이다. 대표체험프로그램인 어선승선체험과 맨손 고기잡이, 왕새우잡이 체험을 통해 바다와 가까워지는 경험을 할 수 있으며, 3세대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 월곶 달빛콘서트 및 개폐막식 불꽃축제는 매년 많은 관광객들의 기대를 모으고 있는 인기프로그램 중 하나이다. 또한, [시흥월곶포구축제]에서만 만날 수 있는 수산물 깜짝 경매 및 건어물 도매시장, 새우젓 담그기 체험 등 직접적인 어촌의 포구체험도 만나볼 수 있다.
