About this event

Eve's invitation exhibition <I am what I eat> starts from the artist's contemplation on what constitutes us. This exhibition is Eve's first invitation exhibition selected as the Gallery Jei's <Rookie Artist Project>, and is an occasion to officially introduce the world of 'Donsambachi' that the artist has built for a long time. Starting from the memory of being handed a small Aori apple in childhood, the artist expresses the tenderness and traces of relationships accumulated in life through sculpture. Crossing the boundaries between past and present, self and others, it shows how we influence each other and grow in each other's lives. The artist says that all experiences seen, heard, felt, and accepted eventually become nourishment for life, making oneself today. This exhibition captures the process in which the invisible exchange of hearts forms one's inner self and leads to a new seed for someone else.
