[Introduction] Coo coo coo coo. A pigeon, now as large as a young child, turns its head this way and that in search of food. Humans are losing their animal senses. Sensing direction by the position of the sun, or reading the weather by the wind—these are inherent human abilities, but now we delegate almost all of them to technology. Just as we cannot find even the closest path without a map app. This behavior is strikingly similar to that of pigeons. Originally nesting on cliffs, pigeons adapted to the urban environment where food and space are abundant, living alongside humans. In the process, they lost their ability for long-distance flight. It was a price they willingly paid in exchange for convenience. If so... could pigeons perhaps be our... future ancestors? We observe the city through the eyes of our future ancestors.
