[ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE] In this work, political correctness is neither an object of ridicule nor a rule that must be followed unconditionally. It is a sense of trying not to hurt anyone, and at the same time, a sense of trying to keep myself in a safe position. It is an attitude of trying to be considerate of others, and at the same time, an attitude of wanting to prove that I am not a wrong person. Therefore, rather than supporting or opposing political correctness, this work looks into what kind of emotions arise within us while practicing that correctness. The stage is a place where words repeatedly fail, positions shake, and the sense believed to be ethics is doubted again. The actor stands on stage as an actor, the director as a director, and at the same time as individuals. Watching this process, the audience comes to recall a similar sense in themselves: when they swallowed their words, when they judged too easily, when they thought they were being considerate of someone but were actually protecting themselves, and so on. [PLANNING INTENT] This performance is not a place to criticize or defend political correctness, so-called PC. Rather, as an individual living in 2026 and as an artist contemplating ethics on stage, it starts from a place of asking what I can say and what I cannot say. Today, we censor ourselves in many moments. In order not to exclude anyone, not to hurt anyone, not to appear as an ignorant person, or not to fall behind the sense of the times that we should be enlightened to this extent, we choose our words and attitudes. However, in that process, ethics sometimes becomes an obsession rather than contemplation, consideration sometimes becomes a way of self-proof, and correctness sometimes becomes a device to protect oneself rather than a sense toward others.
