The Daejeon Special Effects Film Festival (Daejeon Teuksu Yeongsang Yeonghwaje) is Korea's only film festival specializing in special effects, linking creation, technology, and industry based on Daejeon's special effects industry infrastructure. Major programs include the DFX OTT Awards, which highlights special effects achievements in domestic video content; DFX Screenings, consisting of special effects film screenings and talks with the audience; the DFX Tech Show, sharing trends in AI and VFX technology and related industries; and DFX Pitch, which discovers feature-length special effects projects. The DFX OTT Awards is a ceremony highlighting special effects technology and expression in domestic streaming content. DFX Screening shows works utilizing special effects followed by conversations between directors, actors, production staff, and the audience. The DFX Tech Show introduces video production technologies like AI and VFX and current industry status. DFX Pitch discovers feature-length special effects projects and provides opportunities to connect with production and industry stakeholders.
