About this event

The Jeungpyeong Ginseng Valley Festival is a representative local festival held every autumn in Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. It is a comprehensive cultural festival that brings together various cultural and artistic performances, experience programs, exhibitions, and competitions. Jeungpyeong, which accounts for about two-thirds of Chungbuk's ginseng production and has established itself as the home of ginseng, has long grown as a center for ginseng cultivation and distribution. Through this festival, the excellence of local specialties such as ginseng and Red Ginseng Pork is promoted nationwide and worldwide. Key programs include the 'In-Maek Party (Ginseng + Beer)' where visitors enjoy ginseng and beer with EDM music, the 'International Youth Festival' featuring domestic and international youth, the 'National Ginseng Valley Song Festival' for all generations, and the 'National Busking Festival' featuring various genres of performances. Spectacular fireworks are also held daily during the festival to provide special memories. Additionally, themed experience spaces such as the 'Children and Family Experience Zone' and 'Health Experience Zone' are provided, along with on-site auctions for agricultural products and visiting traditional wrestling (ssireum) matches, making it a five-senses-satisfying participatory festival for all ages. As the number of foreign tourists increases every year, the festival continues to grow as a global event, contributing significantly to the promotion of local agricultural products and the revitalization of the local economy. It has been recognized for its value by being selected as a promising festival designated by Chungcheongbuk-do for 2025. 1.
