About this event

[Performance Introduction] Cellist Hong Jin-ho is a performer and creator who has expanded the boundaries of genre and art based on classical music. He studied at Seoul National University College of Music and the University of Music Würzburg in Germany, and has been active on international stages, traveling between Europe and Korea. Since winning JTBC's <Super Band> in 2019, he has built his own musical world by crossing genres to encompass jazz, band music, and original compositions beyond classical music, and expanding his active areas with humanities content such as <Jinho's Bookstore>. In particular, in his original albums <Dear Forest> and <City Melody>, he has delivered a deep resonance by weaving memories and emotions, as well as landscapes of movement and staying, into delicate melodies. In this special program, <WAY BACK HOME: The Path Back to Me>, his performance quietly resonates with the trajectory of life and art accumulated over a long time by artist Lee Kyoung-mi, and the journey of returning back to oneself. The cello melodies flowing between paintings, installations, and media works will deeply expand the layers of memory and sensation captured in the exhibition, presenting the audience with another 'landscape of return.'
