[Seongbuk Cultural Foundation] 2026 Seongbuk Book Mokkoji Book Festival [Library Network ON, Lighting Up Seongbuk]

Seongbuk Book Mokkoji (Book Festival) is a representative joint reading culture festival of Seongbuk-gu, created by the Seongbuk-gu Municipal Library network and local residents. In 2026, under the theme 'Library Network ON, Lighting Up Seongbuk,' the stage will be expanded to the Seongbukcheon stream area, unfolding more richly along the Barammandang Bridge in front of Seongbuk-gu Office and the Seongbukcheon waterway. A total of 18 teams, including 13 Seongbuk-gu Municipal Library networks, local university library and information science departments, and reading culture-related organizations, will operate experience booths with their own colors. In the outdoor library on Seongbukcheon, visitors can enjoy the leisure of a book under the autumn sun. At 3 PM on the Seongbukcheon riverside stage, busking by Korea University ATP and Namgung Matsuko of Korea National University of Arts will liven things up, followed by an opening by a children's choir and congratulatory performances by a folk ensemble and Voice Toy at 6:30 PM. Other features include a children's playground decorated with air bounces and coloring walls, a Seongbuk-gu Municipal Library BI participation exhibition, a four-cut photo zone, a stamp rally around the booths, and food trucks. On Sunday, September 6, meet a special day at Seongbuk's largest autumn book festival, where the library network brightly lights up Seongbukcheon.
