About this event

Naval Commander arrival ceremony + Departure ceremony theme performance + Jangheung Hoeryeongpo Panokseon Rowing Competition + Hoeryeongpo Golden Bell + Hoeryeongpo Song Festival + Joseon Navy School experience, etc. Hoeryeongpo is the historic site where Admiral Yi Sun-sin received the royal decree appointing him Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Forces of Three Provinces and pledged the Hoeryeongpo Resolve (inauguration) at Hoeryeongjinseong Fortress. This historical and cultural festival re-examines Hoeryeongpo's significance as the starting point of the Myeongnyang Victory, with active participation and collaboration from Hoejin-myeon residents and local cultural arts organizations.
