About this event

'걷자잉'은 사투리와 현재진행형 'ing'를 접목하여, 금남로를 함께 걸으면서 즐겨보자는 의미이다. 광주의 ‘대·자·보 도시'(대중교통·자전거·보행) 전환 선언에 맞추어 기후 위기를 극복하고, 대자보 활성화 등 도심 속 쉼과 소통이 어우러진 거리를 만드는 행사이다. 2026년에는 4월부터 11월까지 매월 첫째 주 토요일에 진행되고 행사에서는 시민들이 자유롭게 걸을 수 있는 환경을 제공하며, 다양한 체험 프로그램과 문화 공연이 함께 운영된다.
