Opening on September 5, 2026, the 16th Gwangju Biennale 《You Must Change Your Life》 takes its title from the final line of Rainer Maria Rilke's 1908 poem. Facing a broken archaic torso, the speaker experiences a total shift in how he perceives the world. As our perspectives and positions change, we realize we can no longer continue living as before.
