The 2026 Boeun Hoein Heritage Night is a local cultural heritage event where visitors view and experience national heritage and village spaces in Hoein-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do at night. Centered on the story of the Piballyeong Goblin coming down to Hoein village and inviting people to a mysterious playground, the event operates programs for night scenery, night walk, night performance, night history, night painting, night market/food, and night stay. Following the region's historical spaces like Hoein Insan Guesthouse, Donheon Naea, Sajikdan, Hoein Hyanggyo, and Pungnimjeongsa, the event features a Prefect's procession, Manggwollye (palace-facing ritual), storyteller performances, traditional games, calligraphy, natural dyeing, and intangible heritage demonstrations and experiences. Night landscapes utilizing national heritage, goblin character displays, moonlight stamp tours, resident-participation programs, family experience spaces, food areas, flower beds, and photo zones are created throughout the venue. It is a nocturnal cultural heritage festival where visitors experience Hoein's history and lifestyle culture by walking through it and sharing the value of national heritage and local stories with residents. 1.
