[Performance Introduction] The 8th annual performance of Dance Company Altimeets, <The Power That Moves Existence>, starts from the primal principles of dance: resistance and awareness. It could be the movement of emotions or physical force. This stage, composed as a double bill, is a place to open the next generation of K-Contemporary Dance, following original representatives Ahn Deok-gi and Jeon Seong-jae. Two choreographers with solid and delicate dance moves and playful imagination, Jeong Sang-hwa and Kim Gyu-nyeon, gaze at 'the power that moves the body' in their own languages. <Gravity> starts from 'gravity,' which is invisible but acts on us every moment. It explores the relationship between the force pulling the body and the body that resists it to find balance. In a space that changes from gravity to weightlessness, the center shakes and is formed again. Through this, it reveals the potential of the body that changes in response to different environments. It looks at the relationship between force and movement, which has been taken for granted, from a new perspective. <Home> begins with a heart that remembers and mourns a friend who left first. The 'home' on stage unfolds as a space of memory where reality and dreams, life and death overlap. There, one faces the being who left again, reflecting on the time spent together and the remaining warmth. The invisible being lives in the present within memory, and we continue our lives with that memory. <Home> views mourning not as letting go, but as a process of remembering and living together.
