The Silla Cultural Festival reaches its 53rd edition this year since its inception in 1962. Set against the backdrop of Woljeonggyo Bridge, it is packed with diverse content ranging from the Hwabaek Jejeon reenacting the brilliant history of Silla to a street arts festival and Silk Road Festa showcasing spectacular performances by numerous artists. The Hwarang Hiphop Festa presents performance stages by Korea's top hip-hop artists against the backdrop of ancient tombs, offering an exotic landscape unique to Gyeongju. Adding to the fun, Moonlight Nanjang, a romantic night market, showcases the flavors of Gyeongju directly provided by local merchants. At the Silla Cultural Festival, Gyeongju's representative festival as the ancient capital of a thousand years, you can encounter special moments where history and art unite. 1. Main Programs - Hwabaek Jejeon: A spectacular water performance and fireworks show depicting the dawn of Silla and a thousand years of history - Silk Road Festa: A street arts festival presenting high-quality, immensely fun performances encountered by chance on the street 2.
