As Wanju-gun's representative festival, the 'Wanju Wild & Local Food Festival' takes place amidst Wanju's pristine nature. It is a festival for people of all ages to enjoy wild, unusual experiences rarely encountered in daily life, alongside healthy regional food as the premier local food destination. Under the slogan "Burning Wild Wilderness," the 2026 festival features burning pit roasting, local bushcraft, potato samgut (earth-oven roasting), and large-scale fire-themed events as its main programs. Other offerings include wild playgrounds filled with nature such as Sirangcheon water play and straw slides, local meals prepared with care by chefs from 13 township women's associations, direct markets for agricultural specialties, and a wild Wafu EDM music party—allowing visitors to experience memories, nostalgia, escape, and healing all at once in the autumn atmosphere. 1.
