About this event

Hosted by the Republic of Korea Army, the 2026 Ground Forces Festival is Korea's largest military culture festival. It is a non-profit public event designed to promote Army development and future policies to the public, boost trust in the military, and spread positive values. It will be held for 5 days from October 1 (Thu) to October 5 (Mon) on the Gyeryongdae Runway in Chungnam. Celebrating its 22nd edition this year, the 2026 Ground Forces Festival features the theme "ROK Army Safeguarding Citizens' Daily Lives." Visitors can directly check out modern ROK-US combat equipment displays and ride experiences, Army TIGER+ and drone-bot demonstrations, and AI/advanced science technology-based combat systems alongside changing aspects of the Army through demonstrations, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences at the Army Policy Promotion Hall. In addition, high-caliber military cultural performances will be offered, including military band and honor guard shows, Taekwondo demonstrations, Military Police Motorcycle mobility demonstrations, Army performance team shows, and road parades. 1. Main Programs: Opening ceremony, Army Policy Promotion Hall (AI-based systems, intelligent smart units, etc.), mechanized unit Army TIGER+ and drone unit demonstrations, ROK-US combat equipment exhibition, road parade, etc. 2. Side Programs: ROK-US Drone Competition, Gyeryongdae Tour, Korean War Order of Military Merit Retrieval Service, Mobile Medical Inspection Vehicle, Ground Forces Stamp Tour, etc. 3. Visitor Participation Programs: Combat equipment ride experience, military motorcycle ride experience, Hyeungung anti-tank guided missile simulated shooting, Photo with Special Army, KCTC Miles experience, survival experience, family photo shoot, etc. 4. Other Content: K-Defense Industry Korea Defense Daily Photo Contest, Army symbol henna, Gyeryongi shuttle train, air bounce, chin-up king contest, etc.
