Hana Choi September 1 - October 2, 2026 More Real Than Reality What is more real than reality? Hana Choi explores how images go beyond representing reality to construct our senses and memories through various media such as digital images, video, painting, and holograms. She navigates the boundaries between image and matter, reality and virtuality, by adding pictorial traces to digital images and implementing immaterial images like video and holograms in space. In her work, images do not simply copy reality. Memories, experiences, information, and the virtual overlap to create a new reality of the senses. 'More Real Than Reality' is ultimately a question about what we believe to be reality. Through subtle cracks between image and reality, Hana Choi looks at familiar reality from a strange perspective and makes us rethink those boundaries.
