About this event

Suwon Heritage Night is a nocturnal cultural heritage festival held around the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress area. Based on unique local historical and cultural resources, it takes place at Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion, Hwahongmun Gate, the Suwoncheon Stream area, Yongyeon Pond, Haenggung Square, and the Paldalmun Gate area. Operating with major national heritages and cultural facilities of Suwon Hwaseong as hubs, the event consists of exhibitions, performances, and experience programs based on eight 'Night' themes: Night Scenery, Night Walk, Night History, Night Painting, Night Performance, Night Market, Night Food, and Night Stay. The program operating hours are from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Various programs are prepared as a field of experience to enjoy the night of the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress walls alongside national heritage, allowing visitors to feel the charm of Suwon Hwaseong. 1. Night Scenery (Yagyeong): Feast of Night Light / Viewing Suwon Hwaseong night views and night opening of cultural facilities. 2. Night Walk (Yaro): Banquet Excursion / Night tours and plogging programs walking through Suwon Hwaseong under the night light. 3. Night History (Yasa): Stories of the Night Light Banquet / Historical experience dramas based on Suwon's history. 4. Night Painting (Yahwa): Suwon Hwaseong Banquet Painting Album / Traditional lantern exhibitions set against Hwahongmun Gate and Suwoncheon Stream. 5. Night Performance (Yaseol): Night Light Banquet, Time of Poetic Flavor / Various performances centered on intangible cultural heritage and local artists. 6. Night Market (Yasi): Satongpaldal Night Light Market / Experience and night markets with local merchants and craft shops. 7. Night Food (Yasik): Savoring the Night Light Banquet / Experience programs for various traditional foods like royal snacks. 8. Night Stay (Yasuk): A Night in Suwon / Accommodation and experience programs linked with Suwon's lodging and religious facilities. There are no food booths inside the venue, so please use nearby local restaurants. ※ The 3-day Heritage Night program has ended, and only some programs (Yongyeon ~ Hwahongmun ~ Suwoncheon area, Hwaseong Haenggung) are operating with an extended period.
