[About the Performance] "Connecting Regions Through Music, Performing the Future" The Daejeon, Chungcheong, & Honam United Suzuki Orchestra is a regional joint orchestra featuring young artists and youth performers who completed the Suzuki music education curriculum across the Daejeon, Chungcheong, and Honam regions. Based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's 'Every Child Can' educational philosophy, it practices character building and artistic growth through music, contributing to regional cultural and artistic exchange and broadening the base of classical music. This subscription concert features a stage bringing together everyone from young beginners to advanced players, harmoniously blending the depth of traditional classics with the familiarity of K-POP. Part 1 presents classical masterpieces and concerto performances, while Part 2 showcases new orchestral interpretations of famous K-POP songs, conveying the power of music that connects generations and regions. We invite you to an inspiring performance filled with the passion and beautiful harmony of young musicians who will lead the future. [Program] The 2nd Korea Suzuki Daejeon, Chungcheong, & Honam United Orchestra Subscription Concert Conductor_ Hwang Ui-han [Part 1] CLASSIC: Traditional Classics and the Fruits of Musical Dedication J. Offenbach Orpheus in the Underworld Overture - The overture to the operetta Orpheus in the Underworld premiered in 1858. The latter portion, 'Galop Infernal,' is widely known today as 'Can-Can' music, serving as a representative overture frequently played at opening performances for its cheerful rhythm and brilliant orchestration. L. v. Beethoven Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21 I. Adagio molto – Allegro con brio - Beethoven's first symphony, released in 1800, incorporates a new musical personality onto classical traditions. Following a slow introduction (Adagio molto), a lively Allegro con brio unfolds; it is valued as an important starting point for his subsequent symphonic development. Violin Concerto Suzuki Violin School Book 1 Medley Violin Concerto | Suzuki Violin School Book 1 Medley - A concerto stage combining key pieces from Suzuki Violin Book 1 into a medley. It is a touching performance fully showcasing the innocence and solid fundamentals built step-by-step by young performers. Cello Concerto Suzuki Cello School Book 1 Medley Cello Concerto | Suzuki Cello School Book 1 Medley - A concerto stage consisting of key works from Suzuki Cello School Book 1. A Suzuki Book 1 medley expressed through the warm, deep tone unique to the cello. The rich orchestral accompaniment combines with the heartfelt playing of young cellists to deliver an even deeper resonance. INTERMISSION (15 min) [Part 2] K-POP: Familiar Melodies Across Eras Departure Lyrics & Music_ Kim Dong-ryul - A song capturing overflowing emotion and the excitement of a new start. The rich orchestral arrangement adds grandiosity akin to watching a film score. Golden - A song highlighted by an emotional, refined melody; string and wind instruments deliver elegant lines creating a sophisticated orchestral ambiance. Soda Pop - A charming song featuring popping rhythms like sparkling water and a refreshing melody. It provides a lighthearted, enjoyable stage for both performers and audience. APT. ROSÉ & Yoon Soo-il - A special collaboration stage weaving together Yoon Soo-il's legendary classic hit with ROSÉ's globally famous 'APT.' via witty orchestral arrangements.
