About this event

[Performance Introduction] What do we lose, what do we leave behind, and what do we hold on to as we live?" This piece starts from the fundamental human emotions of 'emptiness' and 'loneliness'. Choreographer Shin Young-jun expands the unstable sensations of movement, staying, and unfamiliar spaces experienced as a stranger in Europe into waves of emotion through the body and movement. The work begins from the choreographer's personal experience, but it does not stop at simple reproduction or record. His previous choreographic work, <BUEN CAMINO>, was a journey to experience the sense of recovery in the process of walking. This work is not a story of overcoming or recovering from that emotion, but rather a work that looks at the time spent existing with emotions that never disappear. [Synopsis] It begins with the personal narrative of choreographer Shin Young-jun, who experienced a constantly shaking identity between 'leaving' and 'staying', revealing the universal emotions of emptiness and loneliness. Emptiness is not a simple deficiency, but a sensation that gradually amplifies in a repeating life, making one question the direction of life at some point. Loneliness also arises not only when alone, but in the disconnection felt even when being with others. These two emotions cross and collide on stage, revealing themselves in various ways.
