The Gwangju Busking World Cup is an international street performance music festival held around Chungjang-ro, Dong-gu, Gwangju. Domestic and international street performance artists participate in this competition-style festival presenting diverse music performances across genres such as vocals, bands, acoustics, and street arts. Participating teams undergo preliminary and main rounds to reach the finals where the ultimate winning team is determined by professional judges. Taking place throughout downtown Gwangju, this international cultural event promotes urban space activation through culture/arts and spreads street performance culture while contributing to global cultural exchange and tourism. 1.
