About this event

The [World Heritage Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty Festival] is a special cultural event designed to convey the history and dignity of the UNESCO World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs and allow visitors to experience them more closely. Through diverse programs encompassing tradition and modernity—such as performances, tours, experiences, and exhibitions—you can encounter the living history and culture preserved by the Joseon Royal Tombs. Having started in 2020 and marking its 7th edition this year, the [2026 World Heritage Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty Festival] will run from the opening ceremony on October 16th (Friday) to October 25th (Sunday). In particular, this year features newly organized programs based on the unique stories and historical values held by each royal tomb. It offers a special time to walk through various locations following the stories of the tombs, experience diverse content, and encounter the historical value and beauty of the Joseon Royal Tombs through all five senses. 1.
