The Gochang Nongak Gkotdaelim Festival is a performing arts festival creatively inheriting the community spirit of Gkotdaelim-gut, an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province. Gkotdaelim-gut is a traditional community ritual held around Chilseok (7th day of the 7th lunar month) where villagers performed rites together to relieve past hard work and pray for abundance for the rest of the year. The festival centers on Gochang Nongak's traditional performance forms (Pungjang-gut, Mun-gut, Pan-gut) alongside guest performances in music, vocals, and theater, as well as audience participation programs. It connects artists, residents, traditional music enthusiasts, and scholars in a shared space through performances, workshops, markets, exhibitions, and academic exchanges. Held from August 28 to 30, 2026, at the Gochang Nongak Training Center, it aims to expand the transmission base of Gochang Nongak and bridge local traditional culture with contemporary performing arts. - Main Programs: Gkotdaelim Dangsan-gut / Opening Ceremony / Closing Ceremony / Performance Yard - Gochang Nongak Pungjang-gut / Performance Yard - Gochang Nongak Trainee Troupe (Pan-gut & Jabsaek) / Performance Yard - National Intangible Heritage Baltal (Foot Puppetry) / Performance Yard - Gumi Mueul Nongak / Gutjaeng-ijeon / Stage - Kim Bo-ra 'Fire, Rice, Water, Cauldron, Steam' / Stage - Bang Ji-won & Gutpae 'East Sea UNIVERSE - Gochang' / Stage - Seedless Watermelon Kim Dae-jung 'Unfilial Son Plays' / Stage - Park In-sun & Generals / Gkotdaelim Dance Party - DJ Peggy Gut / Special Stage - Korea-Japan International Exchange Performance 'One Origin: Walking Together' / Special Stage - Nembutsu Kenbai Interactive Workshop - Side Events & Programs: Our Flea Market / Cute Rush-grass Headband Making / Our Gkotdaelim-gut / Busking 'Cham-cham-cham' / Show Me the Play - Individual Performance Showcase
