Gochang Moyangseong Festival is a historical and cultural festival themed around Moyangseong Fortress, the best-preserved original fortress in Korea. The representative program is the Dapseongnori (fortress walking ritual), developed into an experiential program based on the legend that walking around the fortress once cures leg ailments, twice ensures health and longevity, and three times guarantees ascension to paradise. Additionally, the festival operates Night Dapseong Ganggangsullae Dalbam, combining fortress walking with the Ganggangsullae circle dance for residents and tourists to mingle; a street parade featuring over 1,000 residents depicting past, present, and future; Returns 1453, a journey into the past exploring inside Gochangeupseong Fortress; and direct markets and food stalls utilizing local Gochang specialties. 1.
