[Program] 1. Whale Living in the Rock Commentary: The sky opens with a flash / A whale has appeared / Stone and stone meet / The whale dances... 2. Ulsan Bulmae Sori (Bellows Song) Commentary: Bulmae-ya, bulmae-ya, eoheo-yeoru bulmae-ya / Blow, blow, bulmae-ya, blow, blow, bulmae-ya... Ulsan Dalcheon Iron Mine, the center of Korea's iron culture, and the Bulmae Sori are currently designated as city-designated cultural properties. The Bulmae Sori was a song sung while blowing the bellows during the iron-melting process, reinterpreted here in Gutgeori and Jajinmori rhythms. 3. Ipchum Sogo (Basic Dance with Small Drum) Commentary: It possesses the basic movements of traditional dance, but with a clear, heart-wrenching bending of the knees topped with an unrefined, subtle coquetry. Within that, the movements of the gestures containing a smile that follows free inner feelings without sound are beautiful. In terms of composition, it is a dance performed freely according to inner excitement without a special format. The Ipchum, composed of Jin Yu-rim's unique movements, is heavy, and the natural harmony of the Sogo dance following the bare-handed dance further enhances the excitement and style. 4. Cheoyong-ga - Creative Pansori Commentary: Cheoyong-ga is an 8-verse song sung by Cheoyong during the reign of King Heongang of Silla. The Cheoyong-ga to be sung today is a work in progress as creative Pansori based on the theory of Professor Song Su-hwan that Cheoyong, who had the ability to drive away ghosts, defeated the plague spirit and became a god of warding off evil and welcoming auspiciousness. 5. Ulsan Maiden Commentary: Ulsan Maiden is a new folk song with a known lyricist and composer, sung by Hwang Geum-sim. It was produced as a record by Victor Records in 1937. 6. Ulsan Rice Planting Song Commentary: At the end of the swaying branch, my heartless brother / If I die and go to the next life, I will serve my husband first... 7. Taehwaru Binari (Prayer at Taehwa Pavilion) Commentary: Oh Heaven, oh Heaven, please hear our wishes... Taehwaru, said to have been built during the reign of Queen Seondeok of Silla, was called one of the Three Pavilions of Yeongnam along with Chokseokru in Jinju and Yeongnamnu in Miryang. It was destroyed during the Imjin War but was rebuilt in 2014 after 400 years, embodying the wishes of Ulsan citizens. It was premiered at the Taehwaru completion ceremony on May 14, 2014. 8. Ulsan Taehwa Arirang Commentary: Arirang, Arirang, Arari has risen, crossing over the Arirang pass, pass... It was composed as Ulsan's Arirang, capturing the four seasons of the Taehwa River in Ulsan and symbols of Ulsan such as the Simni Bamboo Grove, Seonbawi Rock, and Jangsaengpo whales.
