About this event
The 2026 Korean Confucian Culture Festival is a Confucian culture festival hosted by Chungcheongnam-do Province and Nonsan City and organized by the Korea Institute of Confucian Culture Promotion. Under the theme 'Loyalty, Filial Piety, and Etiquette: Becoming My Daily Life,' the event interprets the core values of traditional Confucianism through contemporary daily life through performances, exhibitions, experiences, education, and academic programs. It will be held from September 18 to 20, 2026, at the Korea Institute of Confucian Culture Promotion and around Noseong-myeon, Nonsan. The festival includes an opening ceremony, a declaration ceremony for provincial citizens of the Chungcheong spirit, a humanities book concert, the K-Confucianism International Forum, performances and exhibitions, and participation-oriented contests and experience programs for families and youth. It is designed to allow participation from various generations and classes, including children, families, youth, young adults, foreigners, and local residents. Through programs where people can experience local Confucian cultural assets and living culture together, the festival aims to understand and share the value of tradition anew in today's life. 1. Main Programs: Opening Ceremony, Chungcheong Spirit Declaration Ceremony, Choi Tae-seong Humanities Book Concert, K-Confucianism Concert, Confucian Scholar Members' Day 2. Side Programs: Pop-up exhibition of Loyalty, Filial Piety, and Etiquette; Traditional costume exhibition; Planned exhibition related to Confucian culture; K-Pungryu Madang; Local cultural performances 3. Consumer Participation Programs: K-Confucianism English Speech Contest, Writing and Drawing Contest, Foreigner Seonbi (Scholar) School, Traditional Archery and Tea Ceremony Experience, Seonbi Table Cooking Class, Family Experience Programs, Stamp Tour 4. Other Content: Participation programs for residents of Noseong-myeon and Nonsan area, connection with local commercial districts and food
