Celebrating its 5th edition this year, the original site-specific musical 〈Hwajeokyeon: Promise of a Thousand Years〉 is Pocheon's flagship regional cultural arts production set against the real landscape of Hwajeokyeon, a scenic spot of South Korea. Set within the majestic natural scenery of Hwajeokyeon, musical actress Hong Ji-min, boasting powerful vocals alongside splendid lighting and direction, performs together with Pocheon citizen actors to deliver deep inspiration. Held at Hwajeokyeon—a place of natural beauty that served as a historical site for rainmaking rituals during the Joseon Dynasty—this performance reinterprets regional history and cultural value through modern art. All seats across both performances are free of charge, allowing open admission for walk-in visitors.
